Saint John's offers many opportunities for members of its community to grow in faith. To address the needs of our diverse community, programs are designed specifically for:

Children

Sunday mornings at 10am, we have Children's Liturgy in the Chapel. This is a wonderful opportunity to awaken the children's awareness of God's word addressed to their lives. It also deepens their understanding of God's word through interaction with their peers and participating adults in music, song and prayer. Formation classes follow each Liturgy in the Family Center and the children rejoin the congregation in the Church at the time of the Peace. A Children's Homily follows Communion.

Youth

We have a vibrant, growing Youth Group with new members always welcome. The plans for the year ahead are filled with activity and blessed by inspiration. We present a weekly Biblical/Christian perspective on current issues facing teens. Through Bible focus, discussions, activities, music, meditations, retreats and outreaches, the youth continue, with strong leadership, a journey of growth in the Spirit of God.
Plans are unfolding for: retreats, Community Supper service days, prison/ homeless outreach, joint service projects with other Episcopal churches, Warm As Toast project for the poor and the Bridgebuilders Habitat for Humanity initiative as well as time for creative fundraisers. The longer we expose our youth to real life service that demands real life relationship building, the more likely they are to catch God’s heart for people and build self-esteem on the journey.

Young Adults

Plans are being made to develop a ministry focusing on 'new adults' and their transitioning years of the 20's and 30's. If interested contact the parish office.

Adult

Adult Forums are held between the 9am and 10am service during the program year. See the calendar for details on planned sessions.

The Reading Club meets during the fall and spring. See the calendar or contact the parish office for details.

Each season the rector hosts a Film Series with discussion. For a listing of current films, see the calendar or contact the parish office.
